STREET LIGHTING
Niland Company

At Niland Company, the custom design and recreation of historical designs lost to history has become one of our unique specialties. Our "in-house" pattern and machine shop has created scaled tooling from as little as an early photograph showing historic main streets. All Niland Company outdoor streetlights and steel site furnishings are made with cast aluminum and steel and manufactured and finished in the USA.

CUSTOM LIGHTING
Deep Landing Workshop

Over the last 30 years, Deep Landing Workshop has created custom lighting fixtures for projects across the United States, and has installed work in schools, inns, churches and public buildings. With a current team of owner John Ramsey and assistants Brad Schultz and Aaron Coner, we continue to maintain the spirit of small crafts and a commitment to making each piece a little bit better than the one before it.

RESTORATION &
REPAIR
King's Chandelier Co.

Has your chandelier seen better days? Or perhaps, it has seen your brother's golf swing... or even your neighbor's football. Mail or email King's Chandelier Co. a photo of your damaged chandelier for information about how we can help you restore it. Please note that we do not accept chandeliers for repair without prior authorization. To see some of our projects, check out our Restoration Blog

TRADITIONAL
STREET LIGHTING
Sternberg Lighting

With our vast knowledge of metalwork throughout history, Sternberg Lighting offers a wide range of historical outdoor lighting designs. The "Avenue" pictured above, with Polished Brass Decorative Ring (optional), features a tough acrylic DR street acorn with the authentic "glass-like" look mounted on our historic fluted and flared fitter. The complete fixture scales 15-1/4" x 36-1/4" with integral ballast and optional glass refractor / Alzak reflector combination or louver optics. Although we weld the fitter to our poles for maximum safety, these Avenue series units can be specified to slip-fit on concrete or wood poles.

SHOWROOM
The Copper House

The Copper House's Internet shop is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, but you might also like to visit our Epsom, New Hampshire shop if you are in the area.

ENTIRELY
HANDMADE
Period Lighting Fixtures, Inc.

All of Period Lighting Fixtures, Inc.'s fixtures are entirely handmade, from the drip on the wax coated candle covers to the hand forged suspension hook that conceals the wire. The fixtures are made with many of the same hand tools of the original craftsmen who were intent upon investing their skills and artistry in a product whose quality approaches the outer limits of commercial practicality.

OUTDOOR LIGHTING
Steven Handelman Studios, Inc.

When choosing outdoor lighting from Steven Handelman Studios' collection, it is not always necessary to have the same style throughout, although that is okay too. Choosing two different compatible styles can be interesting. Each side of the building could have the same style fixture although in different sizes: (ie. larger on the garage than by the patio doors. Or the courtyard could have a different style than the front door).

Deep Landing Workshop

Deep Landing Workshop has its roots as a small craft shop operating in a converted farm shed on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. It was there in 1964 that Joe Ramsey, a machinist by trade, started creating light fixtures designed by his wife, Cynthia, a mother and housewife who had an eye for a fair curve. Her designs were inspired by colonial fixtures they saw visiting historical sites. Cynthia was able to elevate those simple utilitarian pieces into graceful interpretations that could stand proud. In 1977, their son John Ramsey took over, leaving his courses at the University of Maine and settling into the slow execution of finely-crafted light fixtures. John steadily built a portfolio of work, executing designs for historic restorations, private residences, custom lighting vendors, and for architect’s commissions. Over the last 30 years, Deep Landing Workshop has created custom lighting fixtures for projects across the United States, and has installed work in schools, inns, churches and public buildings. We expanded into our new shop in 2002, and our current workshop includes in-house spaces for blacksmithing, welding, electrical work, metalwork and carpentry.

Steven Handelman Studios, Inc.

Steven Handelman Studios, Inc.'s wrought iron products are hand made by skilled craftsmen, one at a time. We do not use prefabricated parts or assembly line techniques. We take care in the detail of our products. We also customize each product through the extensive choices we offer, including: finish, glass, size, and mounting configuration. These production techniques and varied choices are unusual for the 21st century. We take great care in the preparation and finish of our wrought iron products and light fixtures. All welds are ground smooth, cracks are filled and slag removed. We use very strong paint as a base coat and hand apply each premium finish to achieve an authentic aged and elegant look. Any brass parts we use are sandblasted before the paint is applied to ensure a good paint bond. Because we are direct sellers, and do not wholesale our products, we can give our customers the advantage of direct factory pricing. Our goal is to provide exceptional value at a fair price for our unique hand made products.

Period Lighting Fixtures, Inc.
Period Lighting Fixtures, Inc.

Period Lighting Fixtures, Inc. was founded in 1974. The company's ongoing search for early lighting designs has included visits to the Smithsonian Institute, the Historic American Buildings Survey, the index of American Design in Washington, DC, and many other national museums and historic landmarks. We have a unique relationship with many historic museums and historic preservation societies. Period Lighting Fixtures' designs are faithful reproductions and always pleasing to the eye. They are free of the awkwardness so prevalent in most other reproductions. In all cases, the fixtures have been made to look old. Through special techniques, the various finishes will appear exactly as an original, indistinguishable from antiques two hundred years old or more. We have found that once the decision is made to place our fixtures in the proper setting in your home, it will remain a permanent part of you and will not yield to disillusionment, boredom, or change.

For over 30 years, J.R. Coppersmythe, based in Harwich, MA, has provided quality handcrafted lighting. Our Signature Collection reflects the heritage of American craftsmanship and the practicality of colonial American design and ingenuity. Our Boston Collection of lighting harkens back to the oil-powered street lamps of Beacon Hill and Charlestown. Their warm and universal glow brings with it sounds of cobblestones, Christmas carolers, and the passions of the Revolution. The lights in our Onion Collection get their name from the shape of their globes -- either round or oval, with a root and stem. Their classic lines make them tasteful additions to any colonial, Cape Cod or coastal architecture. Our Country Tin Collection of rustic punched tin lighting is the perfect accent to any colonial home. Original patterns reflect the symbols of our heritage. We also offer a full line of hand-crafted Arts & Crafts lighting, as well as a variety of Lights for Small Spaces.
